A concert for all the good, little girls and boys, of every age.

Come hear The Market Street Singers in…

Down the Chimney

The Market Street Singers invite you to set out a plate of cookies and a glass of milk while we wait by the chimney for Santa. In the meantime we’ll do some seriously fun singing, enough musical goodies to fill any of those stockings hung in a row.  No lumps of coal!  ALL the creatures will be stirring, even the mice! We’ll do most of the work but you’ll get to sing a little, too.

Saturday, December 13, 7:30pm
Ballard First Lutheran Church
NW 65th & 20th NW (2006 NW 65th St) in Ballard

This is a free event. Contributions are gratefully accepted.

Our First Ten Years!

The Market Street Singers presents…
Our First Ten Years!
Celebrating Our Tenth Anniversary

And for the first time, we’re performing at the…

Ballard High School Performing Arts Center
1418 NW 65th Street, Seattle, WA  98117
Saturday, September 13, 7:30pm

This is a free event. Contributions are gratefully accepted.

When on September 11, 2004 we created, on short order, a choir to do just one performance at a Ballard ArtWALK event we couldn’t have dreamed it would eventually become one of the area’s largest and most dynamic choral ensembles. Here we are, ten years later, serving up gloriously beautiful choral music and pursuing a mission to build communities with song. This concert, which brings together new members with special alumni from the past, will be a joyful and nostalgic celebration not to be missed. As usually we will present a little bit of everything, much of it our favorite selections from the last ten years, and some things truly new and different.

We are thrilled to be holding this concert at the Ballard High School Performing Arts Center, our first time at that venue. This will provide extra space in the audience for you, and all of your friends and family. So please save the date and spread the word.

The Market Street Singers is a 501(c)3 organization.  Visit the Market Street Singers online for more information about the choir or our upcoming show at www.MarketStreetSingers.org

The Market Street Singers kicks off its tenth anniversary year with a grand, celebratory concert including the newly created vocal ensemble, Earthrise Choir, with additional support from the Westside Unitarian Universalist Chorale. The “Singers” will perform the ever popular “Gloria in D” by Antonio Vivaldi with orchestral accompaniment and guest soloists Marie Morris and Madison Cox. After some additional “graveside humor” the celebration continues with Earthrise Choir and the WSUU Chorale who always present engaging and thought-provoking selections. The concert closes with all voices singing together; one large vocal ensemble joining two communities.

THE MARKET STREET SINGERS  invite you to another…

FESTIVAL OF FAVORITES:  A COMMUNITY CHORAL CELEBRATION

Sunday, January 26

3:00pm

Ballard First Lutheran Church

NW 65th & 20th NW

(across from Smokin’ Pete’s BBQ)

Since 2011 The Market Street Singers has presented community sing-alongs featuring favorite choral classics, familiar “chestnuts” which singers continue to love no matter how many times they sing them. The success of these choral classics festivals has led us to offer them as ongoing events.

We provide the music, all you have to do is show up and enjoy the fun. Singers of all abilities are welcome, and non-singers are welcome to just show up and enjoy the music.  A suggested donation of $10 will help cover expenses.  There is no need to reserve a space, but if we run out of music scores, you may have to share with someone. But isn’t this a lovely way to make friends?

For more information visit www.marketstreetsingers.org.
