NEW TMSS T-SHIRTS! Order by 4/30/25
The Market Street Singers board of directors have been hard at work the past couple of months planning this year’s t-shirt fundraiser, and we are excited to finally share it with you!
In March, we held a design contest encouraging artistically
inclined chorus members and their friends or family to submit design ideas for our
new shirts. The choir then voted on the submissions in April, with the winning
design announced in our newsletter on April 20th.
CONGRATULATIONS to chorus member Pamela Faulkner for the winning t-shirt
design! Her beautiful design will be featured on a sapphire-blue, 100%
cotton t-shirt available in unisex crew neck and ladies’ V-neck cuts.
Please consider supporting the choir and helping us fundraise by ordering one of these AMAZING shirts! Sizing information can be found HERE for unisex and HERE for ladies’ cut.
Shirts are $25 each.
UNISEX SIZES: Youth Extra Small, Youth Small, Youth Medium, Youth Large, Youth Extra Large, Adult Small, Adult Medium, Adult Large, Adult Extra-Large, Adult 2X Extra-Large, Adult 3X Extra-Large, and Adult 4X Extra-Large.
LADIES CUT V-NECK SIZES: Adult Small, Adult Medium, Adult Large, Adult Extra-Large, Adult 2X Extra-Large, and Adult 3X Extra-Large.
Sizing is standard, although the ladies’ cut will possibly run a half-size smaller. Please keep this in mind when ordering.
Ready to order your TMSS shirt? Have questions? Contact our executive director, Adelaide Leroy, at executivedirector@marketstreetsingers.org. Please note that all orders must be made by midnight on April 30th, 2025.
Payment for your shirt can be made on our website -- please leave a note that the payment is for t-shirts! We regret that we will be unable to process orders received after the April 30 deadline, but future orders may be possible -- more information to come.
We are thrilled about this new fundraising opportunity for our choir, and, as always, we are grateful for the love our community has shown us over the years. Your generous support allows us to keep doing what we love and building our community through song.
Thank you!

invite you to the seventh anniversary of…
A FESTIVAL OF FAVORITES:
A COMMUNITY CHORAL CELEBRATION
(and bake sale!)
Saturday, August 25, at 7:30pm
Magnolia Lutheran Church - Downstairs Social Hall
2414 - 31st Ave W
In the Magnolia neighborhood. Street parking available,
as well as some parking spaces in the LDS Church lot across 31st Ave.
We provide the music, all you have to do is show up and enjoy the fun. This is not designed as a concert performance, but rather a community music making event. Whereas singers of all abilities are welcome, non-singers are welcome to show up to just enjoy listening to the music. And singers, YOU get to choose what music we do from a list of over 25 titles. Things like…
Billings “Africa” – Mozart “Ave Verum Corpus” – Biebl “Ave Maria” – Farrant “Call to Remembrance” – Billings “David’s Lamentation” – Farmer “Fair Phyllis” – Rutter “For the Beauty of the Earth” and “Blow, Blow Thou Winter Wind” – Tallis “If Ye Love Me” – JS Bach “Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring” – Lassus “Jubilate Deo” – Morley “Now is the Month of Maying” and “April is in My Mistress’ Face” – Faure “Cantique de Jean Racine” – Vittoria “O Magnum Mysterium” and “O Vos Omnes” – Lauridsen “Sure on this Shining Night” – Palestrina “Sicut Cervus” - “Sumer is a cumin in” – Brahms “Waldesnacht” – Bennet “Weep O Mine Eyes” – Randall Thompson “The Road Not Taken” and “Alleluia” and “Choose Something Like a Star” – Jeffers “I Have Had Singing” – Joseph Martin “The Awakening”
A suggested participant donation of $15 will help cover expenses. We also invite you to enjoy our bake sale. As you know, everything goes better with cookies and brownies.
There is no need to reserve a space, in the unlikely event we run out of music scores, you may have to share with someone. But isn’t this a lovely way to make friends? We do, however, want to make sure we have enough chairs set up. If you plan to attend we request you notify director@marketstreetsingers.org or call 206-465-3296.
There is nothing better than a large crowd of happy people singing music they love, or music they are falling in love with. Pure choral joy. Almost as good as a choral jukebox!

For five years The Market Street Singers has presented community sing-alongs featuring favorite choral classics, familiar “chestnuts” that singers continue to love no matter how many times they sing them. The success of these “Festivals of Favorites” has led us to offer them as ongoing events, at various venues, including NW Folklife. There has recently been markedly increased interest in choral sing-alongs in the area and we are proud to be part of this exciting trend.
